Vale John Chapman Saturday 18th March 2023

 

Its with great sadness to hear on the passing on John Chapman, in the United Kingdom today, Saturday 18th March 2023. John was an avid aviation enthusiast travelling the world extensively over decades in pursuit of chasing airliners & military aircraft, noting their serials & registration details. 

John had & visited many aviation museums worldwide & was a current member of the Aircraft Enthusiasts Group of Western Australia spanning 30 years. 

I had the opportunity on travelling with John on many overseas spotting trips, & he was always very prepared & well organised, spotting from dawn to dusk on many occasions. 

John was also an author having co-written Warbirds Worldwide Directory with Geoff Goodall in 1989, John was also an excellent aviation photographer with his decades of experience.

Sadly the world has now lost another true gentleman 'Rest in Peace' & thank you for many treasurable memories, sincere sympathies to your family.
