The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) suspended all Tiger Airways (Australia) flights effective from today Saturday 2nd July 2011 over safety concerns, the first time that (CASA) has undertaken such action to ground an entire airline. The grounding was not taken lightly & had come about due to a number events which had occurred over recent months, a telephone helpline has been established to assist those who have been affected by today's announcement.
The last Tiger Airways service to operate into / out of Perth before today's announcement was operated by A320-232 VH-VNJ msn 2982 flying YMML - YPPH - YMML as TGW5596/5597.

The suspension is in effective until Saturday 9th July, with no guarantees given by the regulator that services may continue after that date.
