Air New Zealand's seasonal B763 services from Christchurch to Perth restarted today

Air New Zealand B767-319 (ER) (W) ZK-NCI msn 26913 operated today's first of this years 'seasonal' services between Christchurch Intl Airport & Perth Intl Airport. 

Operating twice weekly on Tuesdays & Saturdays from 13th December 2014 to 25th April 2015.

Today's flight 'NZ161' arrived into Perth at 18.09hrs & departed at 22.04hrs returning to New Zealand as flight 'NZ162'.

Scoot.com Milestone - 1 year of operations flying to Perth 12 DEC 2013 - 12 DEC 2014

Congratulations to Singapore Airlines LLC Scoot.com on completing one year's of operations from Singapore to Perth WA operating as flights TZ8/TZ7.

The inaugural visit back on December 12th 2013, was operated on that day by B777-212 (ER) 9V-OTE msn 28519 named 'Scootalicious' arriving at 18.10hrs as flight SCO07 / TZ7 & departing at 19.46hrs as flight SCO08 / TZ8 for the return.

Since then, Scoot.com & their fleet of B777's have made a total of 255 return flights from Singapore to Perth & return, with some flights cancelled over the course of the journey.

Today's service operated by B777-212 (ER) 9V-OTA msn 28507 named 'Barry' arrived at 17.52hrs & departed at 19.15hrs for the return.

With the new year 2015 approaching, we look forward with anticipation seeing your next generation of aircraft the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner's winging there way into Perth WA.

Qantas Airbus A380-842 VH-OQG diverts into Perth Airport due to loss of cabin pressure caused by the overheating of aircraft's air conditioning

Qantas Airways Airbus A380-842 VH-OQG msn 47 arrived into Perth Airport at 01.20hrs (as seen here above) operating as flight 'QFA 2' from London Heathrow via Dubai to Sydney above FL380 about 370nm northeast of Perth, Western Australia when the crew initiated an emergency descent to 9000 feet due to the loss of cabin pressure caused by the cabin overheating due to a fault associated with the aircraft's air conditioning system. There was no threat to the safety of the passengers, crew or aircraft and landed as a precaution.

After off loading the passengers & baggage, the aircraft was towed onto a remote parking (as can be seen in the photo above) awaiting engineers to thoroughly inspect the aircraft.
