Its was with great sadness that today at 01.10hrs (NZST) in Dunedin, New Zealand my dear friend Michael Dawson passed away after a two year battle with Bowel Cancer.
I first met Michael when in Perth in the 1990's then after a short period he decided to move to Queensland seeking better work opportunities & better lifestyle.
Michael was a true aircraft enthusiast & photographer who would eventually end up working with Virgin Blue based at Brisbane Intl Airport working in warehousing.
Michael was a very obliging person, who would offer his work airline credits for you to come over and visit & to pursue in days of plane spotting adventures in around Brisbane.
Michael had made many friends in Perth, including Duncan Watkinson, Stuart McCarthy, Brenden Scott, Jim Woodrow & many others.
Michael you are now able to fly high now free of your pain & suffering & may you rest in peace, and thank you of three decades of friendship.
