RAAF Base Pearce welcomes nine FA/18 "classic Hornets" to support Australian Army exercises 'Phoenix Black & 'Nigrum Pugio' from 23FEB to 6MAR

Seven Royal Australian Air Force FA/18 Hornets (as seen here above) A21-13, A21-16, A21-20, A21-26, A21-56, A21-57, & A21-111 all arrived today into RAAF Base Pearce landing 13.34hrs - 13.37hrs ex: RAAF Base Tindal (YPTN) Northern Territory as flight 'Magpie'. 

The seven aircraft will be to support Australian Army exercises 'Phoenix Black' & 'Nigrum Pugio operating from Sunday 23rd February to Friday 6th March 2020.

The aircraft were supported by A330-203 MRTT A39-003 c/n 969 c/sign: 'Dragon 46' which had also departed ex: RAAF Tindal (YPTN) Northern Territory for in-flight refuelling support arriving into Perth Airport at 13.53hrs & departed to RAAF Amberley (YAMB) Queensland at 15.41hrs operating as 'Dragon 46'. Monday, 24th February 2020:

Two additional FA/18A model Hornets A21-24 c/n 489/AF-24 & A21-50 c/n 763/AF-50 arrived into RAAF Base Pearce (YPEA) ex: RAAF Edinburgh (YPED) via a 'Gas & Go' tech stop en-route at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Regional Airport (YPKG) West Australia as flight 'Classic'.
