Qantas Airways today operated their first ever B737-800 service into the Mid West Regional town of Geraldton today. Today's Flight/s were chartered by Broadwater Hotels & Resorts & were operated by B737-838 (W) VH-XZJ c/n 39365 wearing the airline's 'Mendoowoorrji' c/s.
Flight 'QF1360' departed Perth Airport (YPPH) with key note speakers & special guests for Mondays Tourism Investment Seminar to be hosted in Geraldton.
The aircraft departed at 13.10hrs flying north up the coast with a low flyover of the nearby Abrolhos Islands before overflying Geraldton's foreshore & landing into Geraldton Regional Airport (YGEL) at 14.52hrs.
The return flight 'QF1361' departed Geraldton Regional Airport (YGEL) at 16.14hrs & landed back in Perth Airport (YPPH) landing RWY21 at 16.57hrs after a flight time of just 43minutes.
