Emirates A380-861 A6-EOE c/n 169 operated the airline's inaugural A380 service from Dubai World City (OMDB) to Perth Western Australia today, Friday 1st May 2015.

Flight 'UAE420' arrived into Perth after a flight time of 9hrs.56mins landing RWY21 at 17.29hrs (LT) near on sunset to parking bay ITB 51, as seen above, and departed to Dubai at 22.29hrs as flight 'UAE421' & arrived into Dubai at 04.57hrs (LT) / 08.57hrs (WST) 02/05 after a flight time of 10hrs.36mins.

A welcoming function was hosted by Emirates in the International terminal's viewing area among those who attended included Dr. Kim Hames representing West Australia State Government,  Minister for Tourism, and CEO of Perth Airport Pty Ltd Mr Brad Geatches.
