China Southern Airlines inaugural flight to Perth










China Southern Airlines commenced direct nonstop services from China to Perth today,with the airline's inaugural flight arriving at 06.32hrs landing RWY03, ex: Beijing Nanyuan Airport (ZBAA) via Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (ZGGG) as flight 'CSN319' operated by Airbus 330-343X B-6500 msn 954. Hexcode: 7804A8


China Southern Airlines schedule as follows:


Beijing & Guangzhou to Perth: CSN319 Wednesday, Friday & Sunday Arr: 06.00hrs

Perth to Guangzhou & Beijing: CSN320 Wednesday, Friday, & Sunday Dep: 09.50hrs & is codeshared with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as flight's KL3817/8


Today's inagural flight was welcomed by West Australian Premier Colin Barnett, along with Deputy Premier & Tourism Minister Dr Kim Hames.


A section of the International terminal was used to welcome the chinese dignitories aboard the first flight, where media & government officials held a press conference after the aircraft's arrival.


A special 3 dimentional cake featuring Perth city buildings, Whale sharks (ningaloo reef) & camels representing the desert regions of North West Western Australia, along with a scale sized replica of a China Southern Airlines aircraft were depicted atop of the cake.


Today's flight departed from Beijing yesterday evening 8/11 at approx 17.30hrs LT for Guangzhou (flight time of approx 2hrs.30mins); Departed Guangzhou for Perth with an ETD of 22.00hrs (flight time of 8hrs.27min approx) & actually arrived into Perth at 06.32hrs.


Today's outbound flight: CSN320 was noted carrying '200' pax to Guangzhou & Beijing.
