Qantas Airways B747-438 (ER) VH-OJS c/n 25564 named 'Hamilton Island' arrived 14.52hrs ex: Sydney 'Kingsford Smith' Airport (YSSY) landing RWY21, operating as flight QF63 via Perth to O.R Tambo Intl Airport (FAOR) Johannesburg South Africa carrying a fifth pod 'replacement engine' for sistership VH-OJU c/n 25566 which lost her #1 engine when operating flight QF64 from JNB to SYD on 5th January approx 4hrs into her flight before returning back to Johannesburg.

VH-OJS departed Perth Airport off RWY21 at 16.47hrs to South Africa, at cruising flight level of 30,000ft (planned 28,000ft) & arrived into O.R Tambo Intl Airport (FAOR) South Africa at 20.54hrs (SAST) after a flight time of 10hrs.08mins crossing the Indian Ocean.

VH-OJS departed O.R Tambo Intl Airport (FAOR) South Africa 07/01 returning to Sydney 'Kingsford Smith' Airport (YSSY) arriving at 22.33hrs (AEST) as flight QF64, then departed to San Francisco (KFSO) as flight QF73 at 22.59hrs (AEST)
