Skywest Airlines now fully intergrated into VA with the XR flight number now history.

Effective from midnight 1st August 2013, Virgin Australia’s regional operations will upgrade to the latest version of the Sabre booking and check-in system to align its systems with the rest of the Virgin Australia Group. This system transition is a key part of the integration of Skywest into Virgin Australia

Flight number ranges for all services in Virgin Australia’s regional network (formally operated by Skywest) will now have the airline operating designator code of VA, with GDS schedules and availability no longer displaying the XR designator code.

• All international flights (flight numbers VA1-199 & VA4000-4199), as well as flights to Christmas and Cocos Island, depart from and arrive at Perth Terminal 1 (International Terminal)

• All domestic flight numbers VA2500-2999 depart from and arrive at Perth Terminal 2

• All domestic flight numbers VA200-2499 (excluding flights to/from Christmas and Cocos Island), depart from and arrive at Perth Terminal  3.
The last 'XR' operated flights into Perth prior to the midnight transition were as follows:
VH-FSW Fokker 100 msn 11391 flight XR16 arrived 21.20hrs ex: Broome & VH-FNI Fokker 50 msn 20114 arrived 21.20hrs ex: Geraldton as flight XR148.
The first VA operated flight operated 02/08 departed at 04.50hrs as flight VA9990 to Geraldton, this flight operated by Fokker 50 VH-FNI msn 20114.
With thanks to Greg Meechan (Virgin Australia) for the above flight information.
