Dash 8 Q400 Mining Charter Flights

Qantaslink Dash-8 Q 402 VH-LQG msn 4376 departed at 08.36hrs today operating a charter flight for Skywest Airlines to Cloudbreak Mine (YFDF) as Qantaslink flight 'QFA2598', and returned to Perth at 13.14 as flight 'QFA2599' landing RWY 03.


Qantaslink Dash-8Q 400 aircraft will commence operating fly-in/ fly-out mining flights on behalf of Network Aviation which is now a subsidiary of Qantas Airways Limited.

The services will operate for a period of three weeks will commence next week with sites serviced including: Cloudbreak (YFDF); Leonora (YLEO); & Mount Keith (YWME).

It is anticipated at one Dash-8 Q 400 will be assigned to Geraldton & Learmonth routes, the other operating exclusively on fly-in / fly-out duties with Network.
