Early morning o/seas arrivals hampered by fog at Perth Airport this morning

Air Asia A330-343X 9M-XXD msn 1066 arrived10.29hrs (EST) Melbourne (YMML) after being unable to land at Perth Airport due to fog earlier today, operating Air Asia X's overnight flight D7236 ex: Kuala Lumpur. Flight D7236D departed Melbourne (YMML) at 21.54hrs for Perth arriving at 23.38hrs, thus bringing to an end this flight.

The outbound service flight D7237D departed Perth at 01.09hrs 12/07 to Kuala Lumpur (WMKK) 

Cathay Pacific Airways A340-313X B-HXI msn 220 was also effected by today's fog at Perth Airport, resulting in flight CX136 from Hong Kong (VHHH) diverting to Port Hedland (YPPD) in the state's North Western of West Australia. A Cathay Pacific crew consisting of pilots & cabin attendants flew from Perth to Port Hedland to ferry the aircraft into Perth then onto Hong Kong operating the outbound CX137 service. 

B-HXI arrived into Perth ex: Port Hedland (YPPD) at 14.19hrs, and after a short turn around on the ground departed Perth at 15.38hrs bound for Hong Kong (VHHH) as flight CX137.

China Southern Airlines A330-343E B-6500 msn 954 operating flight CSN319 from Guangzhou (ZGGG) to Perth diverted to Adelaide (YPAD) arriving at 08.57hrs (EST) after being unable to land in Perth due to fog, and departed  Adelaide for Perth departing at 11.23hrs (EST), Flight CSN319 landed into Perth at 13.14hrs.

Outbound flight CSN320 departed Perth at 15.18hrs bound for Guangzhou and Beijing.



Singapore Airlines B777-212 (ER) 9V-SQI msn 28530 operating flight SQ225 from Singapore to Perth failed to land into Perth Airport after one attempt, then opting to divert to RAAF Learmonth (YPLM).

SQ225 arrived 09.08hrs landing into RAAF Learmonth (YPLM) and departed at 12.17hrs (WST) after the fog at Perth had lifted, arriving into Perth at 13.54hrs. The outbound return flight SQ224 to Singapore departed at 15.31hrs.



Qantas Airways A330-303 VH-QPH msn 695 operating flight QF68 from Hong Kong (VHHH) to Perth, diverted to Alice Springs (YBAS) while fog lifted at Perth, VH-QPH departed at 08.33hrs (CST) arriving into Perth at 10.04hrs.

The outbound return flight to Hong Kong was operated by A330-303 VH-QPG msn 603, whilst VH-QPH operated the outbound afternoon QF71service to Singapore.
